Drug hunter and seasoned chemistry project leader, Tony Gibson has more than 20 years of experience in biotech and large pharma, focused on innovative transformative therapies for patients. Expert in structure-based drug design with a demonstrated track record of leadership and success across multiple modalities (small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides) and therapeutic areas.
Before joining Ferdia Therapeutics, Mr. Gibson spent 15 years at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he lead multiple chemistry teams from early hit identification through late-stage lead optimization.
Mr. Gibson received his BS in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego, MS in Organic Chemistry from Kansas State University, and MPH in Biostatistics from San Diego State University.
